Updates to event and visitor parking
Parking Services invites departments and event planners to visit the Event Parking webpage for a complete guide on reserving parking before their next event. With the introduction of license plate recognition technology, visitors and guests no longer need physical permits like hangtags, scratch-offs or same-day parking validation.
The university has partnered with ParkMobile to ease the event planning and guest parking process. Once event planners complete their lot reservation request forms as found on the Event Parking webpage, Parking Services will supply them with a link and instructions to share with event attendees. With this link, event attendees will enter an access code provided to them by their event organizer. This link enables users to adjust the parking map to the date of their visit, see the lots available to them for their event and enter their license plate and vehicle information to serve as their virtual permit. Complete details are on the Visitor Parking page.
Departments and hosts are encouraged to share the Visitor Parking page with all guests to ensure they're ready to park on campus. Visitors are subject to the same rules and regulations as students and faculty and must pull into parking stalls with their license plates facing the drive lane.
Parking Services will host open forum webinars at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 29, and 9 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 30, for the campus community to ask questions and see a walkthrough of the ParkMobile process. For more immediate questions, contact Parking Services for more information.
