'When Everyone Leads' author to speak today, K-State Student Union Ballroom
The K-State Leadership Seminar and Office of Engagement invite the campus and community to "When Everyone Leads at a Next-Generation Land-Grant University" from 10–11:30 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 18, in the K-State Student Union Ballroom.
The basis of this session is the nationally bestselling book, "When Everyone Leads." This is a follow-up to the event held on campus in April featuring one of the book's co-authors, Ed O'Malley.
This event features the second co-author, Julia Fabris McBride. McBride taught leadership and management at the University of Chicago, the University of Massachusetts and elsewhere. She graduated summa cum laude from Case Western Reserve University, holds a diploma from the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art and completed the Art and Practice of Leadership Development at Harvard University's Kennedy School.
The program will also include reports from book discussion groups of campus faculty and staff who have met in recent months to discuss how to apply this book's principles at K-State. Also speaking will be Marshall Stewart, senior vice president and chief of staff, and Tim Steffensmeier, assistant vice president and director of engagement and outreach. K-State faculty, staff and students, as well as the Manhattan community, are invited to participate in this free leadership development event.
Complimentary refreshments will be available. No meal will be provided, and no registration is required.
