Short film contest dates announced
The 2024 K-State 48 Film Challenge is set! Create, record and edit short films within 48 hours for cash prizes.
The kick-off event will be 5 p.m. Friday, March 22, in Hale Library Room 181 on the first floor next to the coffee shop.
You and a small group of friends have just 48 hours to create an original short film, 2-6 minutes in length. The film could be about anything, but must include three creative elements revealed at the kick-off event; a prop, a location and a line of dialogue.
48 hours later, your submitted film is judged and prepped for the red carpet event and awards ceremony. Films are judged by industry professionals and cash prizes will be awarded, including the Audience Choice Award.
The red carpet event will take place at 5 p.m. Friday, March 29, in the K-State Student Union, Forum Hall.
View the K-State 48 Film Challenge website. Recommended team size is 4-6 members. Team captains can reserve your team's spot and name for the competition. Teams can register online or at the kick-off event. All team members must be K-State students.
