Empowering LGBTQ+ professionals and allies through networking and professional development

For this year's BProud, or Business Proud, event, you are invited to several empowering opportunities designed to foster networking opportunities and enhance professional development for LGBTQ+ individuals and allies. Whether you're seeking employment with inclusive companies or aiming to refine your executive presence, these events offer valuable insights and connections.
Event details:
- BProud: LGBTQ+ Allyship in the Workplace Training. At this workshop you will learn valuable insights and strategies for building inclusive workplace cultures. Employers completing the workshop will receive a BProud certification to display at their Business Expo table to indicate their support of the LGBTQ+ community. All are welcome to attend.
- Date: In person Wednesday, Feb. 21.
- Virtual: Monday, Feb. 19.
- Time: 9-10:30 a.m.
- Virtual: 11 a.m. to noon or 3-4 p.m.
- Location: Room 4061 of the Business Building.
- Virtual: Zoom link sent after registration.
- BProud: LGBTQ+ and Ally Networking with Employers. Connect with employers who are committed to supporting the LGBTQ+ community. Whether you identify as queer or an ally, if you're seeking opportunities with companies that prioritize diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging, this event is for you. Join us for an afternoon of networking and discover potential career paths with supportive organizations. The first 25 people receive a free T-shirt.

- Time: 3:30-5:30 p.m.
- Location: Morris Family Multicultural Student Center.
- BProud: "Speak Your Truth: Executive Presence and Authentic Communication in the Workplace" workshop with JD Schramm. Join us for an interactive workshop led by renowned speaker and educator, JD Schramm. Schramm is a gay man on a mission to educate professionals to be the leaders who ignite change. In this interactive workshop, you will learn how LGBTQ+ leaders and allies can expand their executive presence through connection, clarity, competence and confidence. All are welcome. Anyone committed to building their communication skills is encouraged to join us. The first 20 people will receive a free book.
