On Friday, April 5, Beach Museum of Art Curator Aileen June Wang will speak at the panel "Envisioning Asia America in the Heartland" during the Migration symposium organized by University of Kansas's Center for East Asian Studies.

Wang's presentation, "Connecting Asia and the Heartland through Art Past and Present," identifies some of the most significant works of art in the Beach Museum of Art's permanent collection that reflect cross-cultural exchanges among artists in the Kansas region and Asia. Wang will also discuss some of her curatorial projects contributing to the vibrancy of the Midwest Asian American art world.

The symposium is free and open to the public. For the schedule and to register, please visit the website
