History department announces graduate award recipients for summer 2024
The history department recognizes and congratulates the following graduate students who received departmental awards:
- Alan Boone, Florence M. Hamscher Graduate Research Fund and Colonel Peter Cullen Military History Fellowship.
- September Gering, Beach-Young Kansas History Scholarship and Harvey Hougen Memorial Scholarship.
- Kenzie Jansonius, Clyde and Marilena Ferguson Graduate Scholarship and Shirley A. Martin Scholarship.
- Scott McIntosh, James C. Carey Graduate Student Research and Travel Fund.
- Roberta Meloni, Dr. A. Bower Sageser Memorial Scholarship.
- Jett Nixon, Ralph W. Nyberg — Vanier Family Scholarship and Shirley A. Martin Scholarship.
- Hannah Palsa, Shirley A. Martin Scholarship and Leroy E. and Mary Sullivan Page Fund for Graduate Students in History.
- Damon Penner, Albert N. Hamscher Graduate Fellowship and Colonel Peter Cullen Military History Fellowship.
- Charles Sexton, Robin Higham Military History Graduate Student Research and Travel Fund and Colonel Peter Cullen Military History Fellowship.
- Paxton Stover, Kenneth W. Jones Graduate Student Travel Fund and Colonel Peter Cullen Military History Fellowship.
- Zane Whitney, Cora Stewart Wilcoxon Graduate Fellowship and Colonel Peter Cullen Military History Fellowship.
The total amount awarded for the summer 2024 semester was more than $59,500. All of these funds will go toward research and travel purposes.
