Advisor Forum presents May Charlie Award
The K-State Advisor Forum announces that Molly Bernstein, academic advisor for the department of art, has been selected for the May Charlie Award.
Bernstein was nominated for this award by Elli Archer for the work she has done that has done to impact K-State student’s experiences.
"Molly took on a primary advising role after being a faculty member at K-State," Archer wrote in support of Bernstein. "She has done an amazing job reaching out for support and advisor training, using her resources, and asking insightful questions to become the best academic advisor she can be for her students. Molly juggles advising, teaching, recruiting, and a myriad of other duties. She developed her own tools and strategies for advising art, and used those same skills to help the art department adjust to the new K-State Core curriculum.
"Molly also participates in Advisor Forum meetings and social gatherings, reaching out to make connections with other advisors around campus," Archer continued. "She is patient and informative when working with her own students, and very helpful and responsive when working with other advisors who have students considering Art minors. I believe Molly has naturally fit into the role of an advisor and demonstrates the NACADA core competencies for advisors in all the work she does for K-State."
The K-State Advisor Forum thanks Bernstein for the work she has done and congratulates her on this award.
