K-State Parents and Family Program seeks volunteers for orientation panel
Are you the parent or family member of a current K-Stater? Want to share the experiences you and your student have had during your K-State journey?
As we gear up for the upcoming orientation for incoming students and their families, the K-State Parents and Family Program invites faculty and staff members who are also parents of current students to participate in a special panel for parents and families. The panel will be part of a parent session from 9-10 a.m. on each of the in-person orientation days. We are looking for 3-5 folks to serve each day. You do not have to be available for all 14 days to serve.
Your insights and experiences as both university insiders and parents give you a unique perspective that can greatly benefit new families as they navigate the transition to college life. We believe that your presence on the parent panel will provide invaluable guidance and reassurance to incoming families.
If you are interested in serving on the parent panel during orientation, please express your interest by completing the online survey by Tuesday, May 14. We will be in touch to confirm and to provide training and support in mid-May.
Thank you for considering this opportunity to support our incoming students and their families as they embark on this exciting journey.
