Colby Community College transfer student receives scholarship thanks to K-State Transfer Partner Award
In October 2023, K-State awarded the first Transfer Partner Award to Jade Inlow, transfer and advising specialist in the student support services office at Colby Community College.
The award recognizes a community college advisor, faculty, staff or administration member who has supported transfer students and has been a strong advocate for K-State. The winner of the award receives funding to attend K-State's Transfer Summit as well as a $1,000 Educator's Choice Award for their school to award to an incoming transfer student to K-State for the fall of 2024.
Payton Walk, Colby Community College student from Tribune, was selected to receive the $1,000 Educator's Choice Award. Walk will continue her education at K-State in fall 2024 in animal sciences and industry. She is a member of Phi Theta Kappa and a first-generation college student.
