KTA cashless tolling begins July 1
The Kansas Turnpike will go cashless beginning July 1 to prioritize customer convenience and safety. Please consider this change if you travel on the turnpike for university business.
KTAG use will remain unchanged upon the conversion to cashless tolling. Traveling in a department-owned university vehicle only requires action if no KTAG or compatible transponder is installed. Department vehicles without a KTAG or transponder must set up a DriveKS.com account and add the appropriate vehicle information. All K-State motor pool vehicles are KTAG equipped.
The state's contracted rental car company is Enterprise. Rental car drivers in Kansas are automatically enrolled in Enterprise's TollPass program when driving on Kansas toll roads. Travelers can receive electronic receipts and submit them for reimbursement.
Drivers using their privately owned vehicle will be billed by the Kansas Turnpike Authority, or KTA, using the registration information associated with the vehicle's license plate. Drivers with a KTAG will be billed as usual at a discounted rate. Visit the Concur travel guide for more information.
