Submitted by Division of Facilities
Adrienne Tucker has been appointed the director of parking and transportation following a nationwide search, and she will assume the role on Sept. 2. Tucker will be responsible for shaping the future of parking, mobility, transit and transportation on the Manhattan campus.
Tucker holds a Bachelor of Science degree from The Evergreen State College in Olympia, Washington, and has 17 years of parking, mobility and hospitality experience. She joins K-State from the city of Manhattan where she served as the city's first parking manager and was instrumental in establishing a new garage and reimagining parking in the Aggieville district. Prior to that, Tucker served as assistant director of parking services at K-State from 2019-2022.
"Having a dynamic leader in this role to help strategically guide and lead planning decisions for the direction of parking and transportation at the university is critical," said Casey Lauer, associate vice president of the Division of Facilities. "Adrienne brings the ideal blend of industry and higher education experience that positions her as a service-focused, solutions-minded leader. I'm truly excited to work with Adrienne to introduce new offerings, services, and strategies to serve our campus community and visitors better.
"I am eager to return to K-State and serve the community," Tucker said. "I look forward to fostering an inclusive and collaborative environment and transforming the parking services department into a customer service-focused organization."
Tucker is a Certified Administrator of Public Parking through the International Parking & Mobility Institute, and she holds advisory roles as a Parksmart advisor and Alliance for Parking Data Standards advisor.
