Partner with the Pre-Professional and Exploratory Advising Center this fall

Submitted by Morgan Greene

Faculty and staff are invited to partner with the Pre-Professional and Exploratory Advising Center to support exploratory studies, pre-health, pre-law and pre-vet students in their classes and networks.

  1. Provide extra credit to pre-health and pre-law students for attending the Professional and Graduate School Fair, from 11 a.m. to 3 pm. Nov. 6. According to K-State's post-graduation statistics, nearly 20% of students pursue higher education upon graduation. The Professional and Graduate School Fair is an opportunity for students to get early exposure to graduate and professional programs, meet with admissions representatives and practice answering admissions representatives' questions. If you are teaching a course this fall, consider offering students extra credit, requiring attendance or otherwise encouraging students in your course to attend. Options are available to verify attendance.
  2. Encourage students to attend exploratory studies drop-in advising. Exploratory studies advisors will host drop-in advising hours from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday-Friday during the first two weeks of classes. Encourage your students to visit the Berney Family Welcome Center for quick questions about drop/adds and more.
  3. Schedule a presentation with your class or student group. The Pre-Professional and Exploratory Advising Center team welcomes the opportunity to visit your classrooms or student groups to discuss topics relevant to pre-health, pre-law, pre-vet and exploratory advising. Meet our team — including populations served and contact information.
