Training for new staff performance management evaluation process to start this month
K-State is reenvisioning how we manage and reward our workforce by establishing a consistent, unified staff performance evaluation process for all unclassified professionals and university support staff. The new process aligns with the university’s goals to build and sustain a next-gen workforce and become an employer of choice in Kansas and higher education. It was developed following an in-depth assessment of existing staff performance evaluation programs across the institution.
To assist those who will use the new performance management system, Human Resources has updated content about the revised process on the Human Resources performance management website and will launch a series of in-person and Zoom training sessions from September through December.
Visit the HR Performance Management Training and Resources webpage to register for one of these training sessions. Unclassified professionals, university support staff and supervisors of these positions are encouraged to attend a training session.
Participants will learn about the updated performance management process, how to use the new forms and become familiar with best practices that will enhance the overall performance management process.
Colleges and units should continue to use existing performance appraisal forms and processes throughout calendar year 2024. The new performance management process and forms will be implemented starting in January 2025.
