Advisor Forum presents September Charlie Award

Submitted by Chrissie Patry

The K-State Advisor Forum announces that Ben Worcester, academic advisor for the School of Music, Theatre, and Dance, has been selected for the September Charlie Award.

Worcester was nominated for this award anonymously for the work he has done to impact K-State students' experiences.

His nominator wrote, "Ben is phenomenal in all aspects of his role, but specifically when he is working with students. It is clear that he is passionate about the subject matter — performing arts — is well versed in the curriculum and future opportunities available to students, and that he prioritizes each student's individual needs. In my experience, he is always developing his knowledge and skills to then benefit his students and to make his advising even more effective. Ben has taken on many roles in MTD and I believe this should be recognized! In addition, Ben is top-notch in a collaboration setting when working with fellow K-State employees. He goes above and beyond the call of duty in every aspect."

The K-State Advisor Forum thanks Worcester for the work he has done and congratulates him on this award.

For more information on the Charlie Award or to learn how to nominate someone, please visit the Recognition page on the Division of Academic Success and Student Affairs website. Nominations are accepted year-round and can be received from anyone across campus. Once a nomination is received, it remains an active nomination for one full year. One award will be given out at the beginning of each month. The Advisor Forum Committee will make the decision and deliver awards.
