Campus Master Plan town halls kick off this week
Submitted by the Division of Facilities
This week is a busy one for K-Staters, with homecoming activities in full swing and the Campus Master Plan town halls taking place across our three campuses.
This year's homecoming theme is "Then. Now. Forever." To explore the "forever" part, attend a town hall in person or virtually to help shape the future of our campuses.
The town halls will gather input from K-Staters on enhancing the K-State experience, creating resilient campuses, transforming learning environments, expanding research and improving connectivity. This is an opportunity for you to ask questions and provide feedback.
Salina: 3:30-4:30 p.m. Monday, Oct. 21, in the College Center Conference Room.
Manhattan: 5:30-7 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 22, in the Business Building Room 1088, or via Zoom.
Virtual: noon to 1 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 23, via Zoom.
Virtual: 6-7 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 23, via Zoom.
Olathe: 1-3 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 24, in the Forum Hall Auditorium on the Olathe campus.
The Campus Master Plan is a guide for redesigning the physical spaces used by our K-State community. It includes facilities, space utilization, infrastructure, accessibility, security, transportation and the student experience across all three Manhattan, Olathe and Salina campuses. The plan is a physical response to K-State's ambitious Next-Gen K-State strategic plan and the university's objectives to invest in modern infrastructure that attracts talent and facilitates cutting-edge research. A final plan will be rolled out in 2025.
If you can't attend a live or virtual session, visit the Campus Master Plan website this week to view prerecorded materials and offer feedback online. The deadline to provide input is the end of the day Friday, Nov. 1.
