Advisor Forum presents January Charlie Award
The K-State Advisor Forum has selected Katie Starzec, academic advisor and assistant professor of agricultural and natural resources communications in the College of Agriculture, for the January Charlie Award.
Starzec was nominated for this award by Gaea Hock for her exceptional care of and attention to students.
Hock wrote, "I work across the hall from Dr. Starzec and have the pleasure of listening to her advice and supportive comments when meeting with her advisees. She is caring and thoughtful in her approach. She works to get to know all her students, which results in her being more prepared to serve as an academic advisor. Students will pop in to talk to her and get her advice. I also know she is a strong supporter of her graduate students and works hard to help them accomplish their goals. Dr. Starzec truly cares about being an effective and supportive advisor."
The Advisor Forum thanks Starzec for the work she does and congratulates her on this award.
For more information on the Charlie Award or to learn how to nominate someone, please visit the recognition page on the Office of Student Success website.
