Graduate Student Awards and Recognition Reception, RSVP today
Submitted by Graduate Student Council
The Graduate Student Council is hosting a Graduate Student Awards and Recognition Reception as part of Kansas State University's Graduate Student Appreciation Week on campus. The event will be from 5:30-7:30 p.m. April 8 in the K-State Student Union's Main Ballroom. Please RSVP no later than April 1. Seating is limited.
The purpose of this event is to recognize graduate students from across campus for their achievements throughout the past year.
The evening will begin with light refreshments, a cash bar and networking followed by the program. The program will include a welcome by the Graduate Student Council president, remarks by Provost April Mason and the introduction and recognition of award recipients by college deans or designee.
We are inviting each college to recognize up to five graduate students and graduate faculty who have received top awards during the 2014-2015 school year. The council also will recognize winners from Research and the State, Capitol Graduate Research Summit, and K-State Research Forum, along with council leadership and the winners for the GTA Excellence in Teaching Award.
We invite all graduate students, whether they are being formally recognized or not, to attend this event. This is a great opportunity to network with faculty, staff and your fellow students, and to enjoy a night of celebrating the hard work you have been putting forth this year.
If you have questions, please email us at egsc@k-state.edu. We look forward to seeing you at the Recognition Reception on April 8.
