Management Information Systems Club awards $3,000 in scholarships
The Management Information Systems club awarded five scholarships totaling $3,000 at the club's last meeting of the semester on May 1. The club's executive committee, under the direction of the faculty advisor Michael Chilton, associate professor of management, selected five students to receive these scholarships. ConocoPhillips and Phillips 66 donated the scholarship funds.
Selection criteria included academic achievement and club involvement.
The following students, all management information systems majors are recipients of scholarships from the Management Information Systems Club:
Three scholarships of $700 each were awarded to Karla Wasinger, junior from Leawood; Milca Aguirre, freshmen from Kansas City, Kansas; and Paige Lauer, junior from Wichita.
Two scholarships of $450 each were awarded to Aaron Fox, sophomore from Shawnee; and Jordyn Stephens, junior from Manhattan. Fox will serve as the club's secretary in 2017.
