Asian American Student Union hosting banh mi fundraiser
Asian American Student Union will have a banh mi fundraiser from 6:30-8 p.m. Feb. 16 in 206 K-State Student Union.
Banh mi, a fusion product of French colonialism in Indochina, combines ingredients from the French — baguettes, pâté, jalapeño and mayonnaise — with native Vietnamese ingredients, such as coriander, cucumber, pickled carrots and white radish.
Choose from grilled steak or seared tofu. Tickets are $5 each. Cash, cards and checks will be accepted.
Tickets will be available for purchase from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday, Feb. 13; Wednesday, Feb. 15; and Thursday, Feb. 16, at the Union.
A limited amount will be sold at the door, so reserve your banh mi before it's too late.
