K-State Police and Air Force ROTC to conduct on-campus training exercise April 20
K-State Police and Air Force ROTC Detachment 270 will conduct a simulated training session to provide students with experience on how to react to real-life active shooter situations using the ALICE guidelines.
Three separate exercises will start at 4 p.m. Thursday, April 20, at Gen. Richard B. Myers Hall on the north side of campus. All walkways in the area will be blocked off for the duration of the training. Simulated gunfire and emergency response will take place.
The training also will provide K-State Police with students' reactions to assist them in future first responder training.
Please direct questions or concerns with this exercise to Master Sgt. Ronald Cervera at rccervera@k-state.edu or 785-532-6600.
