The National Strategic Selling Institute recently hosted tryouts for the 2024-2025 K-State Sales Team at the Kansas State University College of Business Administration.

This year, tryouts were sponsored by Shamrock Trading Corporation. Throughout the event, students competed in up to four rounds. This allowed 13 students to compete against each other for student merit awards and ultimately interview for a spot on the K-State Sales Team.

Based on the student's performance and interview, the following students were selected as members of the K-State Sales Team for the 2024-2025 academic year:

  • Bailey Ballard, junior in professional strategic selling, Rogersville, Missouri
  • Bryce Disberger, sophomore in finance, St. George
  • Halle Hartner, sophomore in professional strategic selling, Belleville.
  • Jack Johnson, sophomore in finance, Blue Springs, Missouri
  • Taylor Moorman, junior in professional strategic selling, Emporia.
  • Adam Ramirez, junior in professional strategic selling, Shawnee.
  • Hailey Rozell, sophomore in professional strategic selling, Round Rock, Texas.
  • Jackson Stewart, freshman in professional strategic selling, Lenexa.

"Our newly assembled team of eight members brings lots of driven, hard-working, and coachable students with a willingness to learn," said Kellie Jackson, marketing instructor and K-State sales team coach. "Being selected for this team presents a valuable opportunity for students to refine their sales skills in a supportive education setting, preparing them for their professional careers ahead. I am excited to welcome our new team members and look forward to watching the students showcase their skills as they compete against other top-ranked sales programs across the nation next year."

The K-State Sales Team is exclusively sponsored by Ninja Selling, a corporate partner and longtime supporter of the National Strategic Selling Institute. The K-State Sales Team will begin their travel in the fall and travel to up to six regional and national sales competitions hosted by universities from across the nation throughout the academic year. Make sure to follow along via LinkedIn to watch the success of the team over the next year.

The K-State Sales Team is in the College of Business Administration's National Strategic Selling Institute, which has been named one of the top sales programs in the country for 12 straight years by the Sales Education Foundation. The team consists of students who are enrolled in the certificate or major in professional strategic selling. In fall 2018, K-State became just the 19th university in the U.S. to offer a major in professional strategic selling. Students can also earn a certificate in professional strategic selling, which is open to all majors at the university. The professional strategic selling program introduces students to the fundamentals of sales and the innovative curriculum and sales labs allow students to develop the skills needed to be successful.
