Dec. 15 upgrade: University's Content Management System (CMS) to get a new look
On December 15 the university's content management system (CMS) will get a user interface upgrade. OmniUpdate has released version 11, giving system users a modern interface and additional features without drastically changing function.
Please note, this upgrade is not the switch to new website design templates. Changes will only affect system users when logged into the system. Public facing websites will not be affected!
What’s new in Version 11?
While the basic functions stay the same, this upgrade gives the system a fresh new look. OmniUpdate has streamlined existing features and added a few new ones.
Changes include
- New, updated editor.
- Publish status indicators - know at a glance whether a page has unpublished changes or has never been published.
- Dashboard feature provides shortcuts to recently visited content.
- Overall improved color contrast, easier to read text and better functionality on smaller screens.
- Additional accessibility upgrades include improved keyboard navigation and screenreader compatibility.
