Example of lowering an anger action point
In this example, we see in the curved blue line what happened in the anger episode. Anger gradually increased over time beginning at point "A" until at point "B" anger explodes at a later time.
Lowering the action point means dropping point "B" to point "C." This shift causes two changes. First, the response to anger is earlier on the timeline. Second, it occurs before anger becomes too intense. So lowering the action point means responding to anger earlier before the anger can escalate in intensity.
