We
cannot change our “core” intelligence
In addition to genetic-based physical qualities and temperament,
a third quality that we cannot change in ourselves is our “core” intelligence.
By “core” intelligence, I mean how our brains are “wired” to
learn. Some of us are good at math, some not. Some of us remember
names; some do not (that’s me!). Some of us think visually
(“I see what you mean”), others are more comfortable
learning by using our auditory channel (“I hear you”),
while others are tactile learners (“I really feel for you”).
We don’t make a choice to learn this way. This learning style
and aptitude is ingrained in our biological core. |
