We
cannot change our age
We cannot change our age and our personal developmental timetable.
Teenagers are bound to be moody at times, more than the rest of
us. Preschoolers are often restless and have a low threshold for
frustration. Four year olds do not have the reasoning ability of
older children. As I age, my skin dries and wrinkles. Running a
100-yard dash is out of the question (unless my life or yours is
at stake), and I have very little hair on my head. None of these
things can be truly changed. We can use beauty products to fight
aging and give our teenagers mood-enhancing drugs. I can wear a
rug on my bald head. But these “remedies” only mask
what is truly there.
