Stand
up for what is important
Think of one of your children. Imagine that child growing older
and older until he or she is in their late 50’s. A friend
approaches him or her and asks, “What did you learn from
your father (or mother). How was your life changed for the better
because she (or he) was an important part of your life? What difference
did your parent make in your life?”
How would you hope your
child would answer? In your journal, write down the specific
words you hope your child would say to the friend.
