Manhattan Science Cafe will take place from 7-8 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 12, at Radina's Coffeehouse and Roastery, 616 N. Manhattan Ave.
Stephanie Shames, assistant professor of biology, will present "Antibiotic Resistance: Why did it happen and what can we do?"
One consequence of using antibiotics in treatment of infectious diseases is antibiotic resistance, now a major public health issue. Join us to learn about its emergence and what can be done to prevent it.
