Victoria Surdu recognized as Professional Staff of the Week
Victoria "Tori" Surdu, academic advisor in the College of Business Administration, was recognized as Professional Staff of the Week at the Nov. 9 men's home basketball game for her contribution to K-State.
Surdu liaisons to the marketing department, as well as supervises the College of Business Administration's peer advising program. She currently teaches and manages GENBA 105 Business Orientation with her colleagues for first-year and new students in the college. Surdu has her Master of Science in clinical rehabilitation and mental health counseling from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and often employs strengths-based and empowerment approaches to support her students. She loves working with students and enjoys being part of their journey through college.
The Professional Staff of the Week recognition is coordinated by Faculty Senate, the president's office, K-State Athletics and the Division of Communications and Marketing. Recipients are faculty members selected by Faculty Senate caucuses. Those selected are provided tickets to a men's or women's home basketball game of their choosing and are recognized during halftime. This is just a small token of appreciation for those who teach at K-State.
