K-State drama therapy students honored

Students, faculty and alumni were recognized for their exceptional work and dedication to the field at the 2024 North American Drama Therapy Association conference.

Melissa Briggs, teaching assistant professor, received the NADTA Teaching Award for her inspiring and impactful mentorship.

Kirsten Ajax, Allison Adams and Alivia Holkesvig won the Student Service Award for leading the Student Group across NADTA-approved schools and keeping the community vibrant and strong.

Tracena Marie, 2013 alumna and creator of Muncie's Barrier-Free Theatre, took home the Performance Award for her inclusive, barrier-free drama therapy work.
