APDesign Research Symposium Nov. 8-9
The inaugural APDesign Research Symposium will be Nov. 8-9.
The purpose of the symposium is an educational one — giving the graduate students in the college an opportunity to learn how to develop an abstract, a research presentation and understand the amount of work it takes to put together a strong presentation. This is their chance to practice writing and presenting in a research forum.
Linda Sorrento, the executive director of the Academy of Environmental Design, will be the keynote speaker at 4 p.m. Friday, Nov. 8, K-State Student Union's Little Theater. Her lecture is "The Actionable Research Revolution."
Tim Keane, professor of landscape architecture/regional & community planning, also will make a short presentation, "Integrative Research Frontiers in Environmental Design," about his research from 1-1:50 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 9, in the Seaton Hall's Pierce Commons Atrium.
