Metalsmithing professor, instructor present at national exposition
Dukno Yoon, assistant professor of art, and Heather Bayless, instructor of art, presented their work as part of the lecture series at the Sculptural Objects and Functional Art's Chicago exposition.
They both also exhibited their collections of jewelry at the expo with Aaron Faber Gallery of New York, N.Y. Yoon's work focuses on kinetic pieces, using gears and mechanisms to create jewelry with movement. Bayless uses traditional silversmithing techniques to make organic forms based on the ideas of fertility and instinct.
