Career development grants for women application deadline is Dec. 15

The American Association of University Women is offering career development grants providing funding to women who hold a bachelor’s degree and are preparing to advance or change careers or re-enter the workforce. Grants range in the amount $2,000 to $12,000.
Primary consideration is given to women of color or women pursing their first advanced degree or credentials in nontraditional fields.Applicants must be U.S. citizens or permanent residents whose last degree was received before June 30, 2009.Funds are available for tuition, fees, books, supplies, local transportation and dependent care.
The grant application deadline is Dec. 15.
Applications are available at American Association of University Women's website. Other upcoming association funding opportunities include Selected Professions Fellowships for $5,000 to $18,000. The deadline is Jan. 10, 2014. Also, Community Action Grants for $2,000 to $10,000 have a deadline of Jan. 15, 2014.
