Fire extinguisher training beginning Jan. 28
The environmental health and safety department suggests annual fire extinguisher training for all university employees.
Prior to attending one of the following classroom training sessions, you must complete an online training course. Upon completion of the online course, you will receive a certificate. Please sign and date the printed certificate and bring it with you to the classroom training session. Follow this link to go to the online training course: Fire Extinguisher Training.
There is no charge to participants, but registration is necessary to ensure adequate seating and materials. Maximum attendance for each session is 15. The hands-on training with the extinguisher is outdoors, so please dress accordingly.
It is the employee's responsibility to obtain their necessary departmental approvals prior to enrolling.
There are two ways you can register:
- Through HRIS Self Enrollment, or
- Email training@k-state.edu. Please include your name, employee ID number, course title and session number.
For special accommodations, call 785-532-5856. Please let us know 48 hours in advance with any accommodations you may need.
