Hazardous waste awareness training begins Jan. 23

Environmental Health and Safety is offering hazardous waste awareness training. The intended audience is individuals responsible for hazardous waste management, specifically for researchers and employees who generate the waste material and whose responsibility continues through the transportation and disposal process. This training emphasizes the importance of properly identifying, handling, and disposing of all hazardous wastes.

Sessions will be offered:

  • Thursday, Jan. 23, 2-3 p.m. (Session 113)
  • Tuesday, Feb. 11, 2-3 p.m. (Session 114)
  • Wednesday, March 5, 10-11 a.m. (Session 115)

Location: Basement Training Room 011, environmental health and safety department, 108 Edwards Hall.

It is the employee's responsibility to obtain their necessary departmental approvals prior to enrolling. 

There is no charge to participants, but registration is necessary to ensure adequate seating and materials.
