Student Alumni Board and Student Foundation win awards
Two of Kansas State's student groups that promote and enhance Kansas State University were honored recently at the National Council for Advancement and Support of Education, or CASE, Affiliated Student Advancement Programs, or ASAP, District 6 Conference in Emporia. The Student Alumni Board, a student group sponsored by the K-State Alumni Association, earned four awards and the Student Foundation, sponsored by the KSU Foundation, earned four awards as well.
The Student Alumni Board promotes K-State at a variety of university and K-State Alumni Association activities. The board were awarded with the Outstanding Internal Program, New Member Training; the Outstanding External Program, Distinguished Young Alumni; the Member of the Year, Sam Kellerman, from Leawood; and Advisor of the Year, Megan Sherlock Brooker.
The Student Foundation cultivates philanthropy across the university and was awarded with the Outstanding Internal Program, Student Opportunity Awards; Tried and True Program, K-State Proud; Outstanding Student Leader, Carolyn Gatewood from Shawnee; and Outstanding Organization, Student Foundation, advisor Mindy Weixelman.
