Jeff Moore comes to K-State for annual Drum Line Mini-Camp May 3
For this year's Drum Line Mini-Camp, Jeff Moore, former percussion head for the Madison Scouts, will serve as our guest clinician. The day is free and open to any college, high school or middle school percussionist who wishes to attend. All playing abilities are welcome and encouraged to attend.
Students will get to enjoy a day of playing alongside the K-State drum line while learning from the K-State Marching Band staff, section leaders and Moore. At the end of the day, all the attendees will join together to play a concert showcasing what they learned. Last year's concert had a drum line of more than 125 people.
The event is being sponsored by Yamaha, Promark, Alfred, Remo and K-State Bands. Students will have a chance to win one of many door prizes given away at the end of the day. Percussion Source, an online percussion store, also will have a booth giving students an opportunity to tryout and purchase sticks, mallets, method books and practice pads.
