Plan to attend 2015 spring teaching workshop
The Teaching and Learning Center and the Faculty Exchange for Teaching Excellence invite you to register for the 2015 spring teaching workshop, Motivating the 21st Century Learner, Friday, Jan. 30, and Saturday, Jan. 31. at the K-State Alumni Center.
The workshop begins Friday afternoon with a keynote presentation "Learning and Motivation for the 21st Century Learner" by Raymond Wlodkowski. Wlodkowski is a psychologist and national consultant in adult and professional learning, has taught at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, Antioch-Seattle, Regis University-Denver and is recognized as a distinguished professor at Edgewood College in Madison.
The workshop continues for breakfast Saturday morning starting at 8:30 a.m., followed by the keynote, Margery Ginsberg who will present "Understanding Motivation to Develop Culturally Responsive Teaching." Several K-State faculty will share tips on excellent teaching and we promise to have you out by 11:45 a.m.
Ginsberg and Wloskowski's most recent books are: "Teaching Intensive and Accelerated Courses: Instruction that Motivates Learning" and "Diversity and Motivation: Culturally Responsive Teaching in College."
