Office of Research and Sponsored Programs hosts a special National Institutes of Health grants webinar
The Office of Research and Sponsored Programs will host a special National Institutes of Health webinar "Winning NIH Grants: Swimming with Sharks" at 3 p.m. Dec. 10. If you are interested in attending this webinar, please send an email to orsp@k-state.edu to register. The room location will be provided with your registration acknowledgement email.
The presenter will be Rosemarie Hunziker, program director of tissue engineering/regenerative medicine and biomaterials at the National Institute of Biomedical Imaging and Bioengineering, National Institutes of Health. The webinar will be presented live with plenty of opportunities for questions.
In her current position, Hunziker has program oversight of both discovery and applied research grants. She also has a diverse background at National Institutes of Health, including seven years in the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, where she set up and ran the institute's transgenic mouse facility at the Frederick Cancer Research and Development Center in Fort Dietrick, Maryland.
For the National Institute of Dental and Craniofacial Research, she helped accelerate technology transfer and oversaw the Dental Biomaterials portfolio. Hunziker also has worked for the National Institute of Standards and Technology where she was a program manager in the chemistry and life sciences office. She had responsibilities for monitoring and advancing the life sciences portfolio, with particular emphasis on tissue engineering.
