LGBT Resource Center to host STEM networking event Nov. 2
The LGBT Resource Center is hosting an informal meeting for STEM — science, technology, engineering and mathematics, students — who want to participate in leadership, networking and professional development within the LGBT community.
The meeting will be during the regularly scheduled Manic Monday event, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in 207 Holton Hall. Coffee and refreshments will be served, but participants also are encouraged to bring lunch.
"STEM students, both LGBT and allies, are encouraged to attend," said Thomas Larsen, LGBT Resource Center graduate research assistant. "Their perspectives will help us create a STEM organization tailored to fit the needs of the K-State LGBT student body."
