K-State junior wins prestigious scholarship
Jacquelyn Sommers, junior in architectural engineering, has received one of the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers' largest undergraduate awards — the Reuben Trane Scholarship.
The $10,000 undergraduate engineering scholarship is distributed as $5,000 per year over two years. It was established in memory of the Trane Company founder, an engineer, inventor and business executive, whose manufacturing enterprise ranks today as one of the world's largest in the heating, ventilating and air-conditioning and refrigeration industry.
