The chief of the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Natural Resources and Conservation Service, Dave White, will speak at 4 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 21, in 1018 Throckmorton Hall. His talk, “NRCS – Then and Now,” will be part of the department of agronomy’s seminar series. The seminar is open to the public. There will be refreshments before the seminar at 3:30 p.m.
White will speak on the history of Natural Resources and Conservation Services’ conservation initiatives over the past 75 years, and the impact these initiatives have had on agriculture in Kansas and the nation.
