Management professor receives outstanding reviewer award
Marne Arthaud-Day, associate professor of management, has received an outstanding reviewer award from the Business Policy and Strategy Division at the 2011 Academy of Management meeting in San Antonio.
A total of 1,135 reviewers volunteered to analyze the submissions and approximately 5 percent of reviewers were recognized with this accolade. The Business Policy and Strategy Award winners were selected based on authors’ feedback and the usefulness and constructive nature of their reviews. Arthuad-Day received her award Aug. 15.
“Reviewing research manuscripts is a very important service to the peers and would ensure the value of their research work. It takes a great deal of knowledge on the subjects and dedication to do a good review. Dr. Arthaud-Day has won many similar awards and that says a lot about her contribution to her field. This kind of recognition is consistent with K-State 2025, and I am truly proud of her achievement,” said Chwen Sheu, department head of management.
Arthaud-Day has reviewed for the Academy of Management Business Policy & Strategy Fivision for seven of the last eight years and this is the third consecutive year she has received the Outstanding Reviewer Award.
“I am honored to be recognized by my peers. I enjoy participating in the broader academic community and look forward to the Academy of Management meeting each year,” said Arthaud-Day.
Recently Arthaud-Day has reviewed for the Academy of Management Social Issues in Management Division in addition to many journals, including Organizational Science and the Journal of Organizational Behavior. She has also served on the editorial review board of the Academy Management Journal and is presently serving on the board for Academy of Management Review journal.
