K-State For ALL! announces winners of and nominees for Promoting An Accessible Campus awards

K-State For ALL! announced nominees and winners for this year’s Promoting An Accessible Campus Award Thursday. Students were asked to nominate a faculty or staff member who has gone out of their way to ensure that there course or classroom environment is accessible.
The following winners received a plaque and certificate: Farrell Webb, associate professor of family studies and human services; and Jon Tveite, program assistant and writing skills specialist for educational supportive services.
The rest of the nominees were given a certificate: Sarah Reasoner, distance program coordinator for the department of animal sciences and industry; Danielle Brown, adviser for the K-State Salina Academic and Career Advising Center; Marilyn Kaff, associate professor of special education, counseling and student affairs; and Yasche Glass, program coordinator for the K-State office for the Advancement of Women in Science and Engineering.
This is the third year that K-State For ALL! has given out this award. Disability support services and K-State For ALL! appreciate the work that all faculty and staff have done to ensure an accessible environment for their students.
