Submitted by Sarah Hancock

The Kansas City Area Life Sciences Institute invites K-State researchers — including faculty, students and staff — to submit Science to Art images by Friday, May 4.

The institute will host its fifth annual Science to Art silent auction and dinner to benefit STEAM education in September. Selected images are printed on various media with credit given to artists and institutions. Pictured here is a 2017 submission by Nicole Green, doctoral student in biochemistry at K-State. The image is a composite of fruit fly larval muscle framed by individual images captured through confocal microscopy to create a 3-D projection.

The submission form is brief. Find more information, including the submission form and last year's artwork.
