Seeking participants for a youth health promotion research study.

Submitted by Matthew Powell

Attention parents of girls in third to seventh grades, ages 8 to 13 years.

  • Are you concerned about your daughter’s fitness level or eating habits?
  • Does your daughter have concerns about body image or self-esteem?
  • Has your daughter been picked on or bullied because of her weight?
  • Could your daughter benefit from a big-sister-type role model?

If so, she may be eligible for a special program led by K-State researchers. Sara Rosenkranz, assistant professor of human nutrition; David Dzewaltowski, professor of kinesiology; and Richard Rosenkranz, assistant professor of human nutrition, are currently recruiting female children, ages 8 to 13 years, for a health promotion study of the comparative effectiveness of two home-based coaching intervention programs through a randomized controlled trial.

Please email Richard Rosenkranz at ricardo@k-state.edu for more information about the Wildcat Wellness Coaching Trial: Kansas State University IRB Project Approval #6296.
