Community Action Talk Sept. 17 to focus on free speech

The Office of the Chief Diversity and Inclusion Officer, in partnership with the Center for Student Involvement, will host the next Community Action Talk about free speech from noon to 1:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 17, via YouTube Live. Kansas State University General Counsel Shari Crittendon will moderate a panel of university staff and students, including Vice President for Student Life and Dean of Students Thomas Lane; Professor and Interim Department Chair of Special Education, Counseling and Student Affairs Christy Craft; Associate Professor of Journalism and Mass Communications Nikhil Moro; Assistant Professor of American Ethnic Studies April Petillo; and junior in human resources management and Spanish Natalia Rodriguez.
CATs is a monthly series that features panelists on various topical issues and provides an opportunity for the community to participate in diversity, inclusion and social justice dialogues coupled with an opportunity to learn how we can all take action to achieve transformative change for our university, our state and the world.
