Industrial engineering students start company, produce clocks

Submitted by Andy Blattner

Powercat Clock

Every spring the industrial and manufacturing systems engineering department offers a class called Manufacturing Systems Design and Analysis. Students in this course started their own company and over the course of the semester student design, mass produce and sell a product of their choosing. This year's class, Aggie Systems LLC, is producing a wooden Powercat clock.

The clock is available to order on their website and can also be ordered in person at the Engineering Open House on April 19 and 20. The clocks are produced in the basement of Durland Hall. Three styles are available, and the clocks retail for $50.
