More than $365,000 in department-sponsored scholarships for the 2022-2023 academic year will be issued to 107 current students by the GE Johnson Department of Architectural Engineering and Construction Science in the Carl R. Ice College of Engineering. These scholarships are a result of the generosity of over 80 alumni and industry supporters.
Riley Linn, junior in architectural engineering, is thankful for the impact that these scholarships have had on her as a student.
“Due to this financial relief, I am able to spend the time needed to focus on my studies and focus on my pursuit of becoming a successful engineer,” Linn said. “Not only do these scholarships affect my studies, but also earning a scholarship has been able to grow my self-confidence. It has also been able to push me through each semester and will continue to push me through the upcoming semesters as well.”
Cameron Green, junior in construction science and management, also appreciates the generosity of those that make these scholarships possible.
“I am very thankful for the financial support of the scholarships I have received,” Green said. “They have allowed me to stay focused on my academic coursework and maintain a high GPA. The generosity of these donors has been a critical part of my success at K-State.”
