Kansas Board of Regents May meeting university updates

Introductions:
President Richard Linton introduced Caleb Stout, incoming SGA president, who will serve as chair of the Students' Advisory committee and recognized Jeff Ebeck, outgoing SGA vice president, for participation in the presidential community visit initiative. Linton also introduced Don Von Bergen, incoming Faculty Senate president and professor in the School of Integrated Studies at K-State Salina, who will serve as chair of the Council of Faculty Senate Presidents.
Jon Rolph and Carl Ice were reappointed by the board as chair and vice-chair for the coming year.
Consent agenda
The Regents approved the fiscal year 2024 Johnson County Education Research Triangle, or JCERT, budgets.
Discussion agenda
The Regents received the first reading of the university tuition and fee proposals for fiscal year 2024 from the six state universities. K-State is proposing a 5% rate adjustment for undergraduate resident students. Read more in the university tuition and fee proposals PDF document.
Capital improvement plans for 2025-2029 were approved.
