Political science awards 2023-2024 scholarships and assistantships
For the 2023-2024 academic year, the political science department awarded more than $30,000 in scholarship funds to its undergraduate and graduate students. The department also awarded stipends for graduate assistantships to nine students across two graduate programs.
2023-2024 scholarship recipients are:
- Andrew Navarro, junior in political science, Don and Marian Button Political Science Scholarship.
- Natalie Nusz, junior in political science and philosophy, Reba L. Cobb Memorial Scholarship for Outstanding Women in Political Science.
- Jacob Hofman, junior in political science and economics, Louis H. Douglas Scholarship.
- Kate Thomas, junior in political science and history, Donald R. Hill Scholarship.
- Elizabeth Chapman, junior in political science and international studies, Orma Linford Scholarship.
- Macy Steinlage, senior in political science and modern languages, Edward Allen McCoy Jr. Memorial Scholarship.
- Duru Dogan, senior in political science and statistics & data sciences, Edward Allen McCoy Jr. Memorial Scholarship.
- Joseph Pondillo, junior in political science, Barbara Meyer Scholarship in Political Science.
- Michael H. Thompson, junior in political science and history, Richter Family “Beyond the Campus” Scholarship.
- Robert Bruckner, sophmore in political science, Dennis K. Tapsak Memorial Scholarship.
- Karissa Smith, junior in political science, Jon David Wagner Scholarship.
- Sawyer Shutts, senior in political science, Sally Coberly Political Science Scholarship.
- James Fogel, master of public administration student, John W. and Lynn L. Carlin Public Administration Scholarship.
- Francis Agyekum Kwame, doctorate of security studies candidate, Joseph Hadja Student Scholarship.
- Abe Drury, master of security studies student, Rieger-McCrery Scholarship.
- Roberto Noriega, doctorate of security studies candidate, Nicolas Salgo Political Science Scholarship.
- Marissa Lux, master of public administration student, Tummala Master of Public Administration Fellowship.
